    Ford Motor Co. - Engine/Transmission mount failure

    1994 Mercury Sable was recalled in 1999 to repair defective mounts (#98S36). Repair was performed by dealer that is no longer in business. Mounts failed recently, due to corrosion of brackets, and engine rotated. Car was towed to trusted mechanic, who says
